This policy explains what personal data Fantelly collects, why, and your rights over it.Fantelly is an independently operated service (“we”), contactable at hello@fantelly.com. We are the data controller.
What we collect
- Your email address — to sign you in (magic links) and, if you opt in, to send the weekly digest and reminders.
- Profile — a display name and an auto-generated monogram avatar. We do not ask for photos.
- Gameplay — your picks, scores, and league memberships.
- Purchases — a record of any features you buy. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Usage analytics — anonymous or pseudonymous events (e.g. pages viewed, picks completed) to understand how the game is used.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- To run the game — providing your account, picks, and leaderboards (performance of a contract).
- Marketing emails — the weekly digest and reminders, sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Analytics — to improve the game (our legitimate interest in a working product, or your consent where required).
- Payments and records — to process purchases and meet our legal record-keeping duties.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted providers acting on our instructions:
- Supabase — database and authentication (EU region).
- Resend — sending sign-in and digest emails.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- PostHog — usage analytics (EU cloud).
- Vercel — website hosting.
Marketing and unsubscribe
We only send marketing email if you tick the consent box. Every marketing email includes a one-tap unsubscribe link, and you can change your preference any time on your account page. Sign-in and essential service emails are not marketing and are always sent.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to provide a copy you can take elsewhere, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@fantelly.comand we'll action it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, except records we must keep for legal reasons (such as purchase records for tax).
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics to understand usage. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
Fantelly is intended for users aged 16 and over.
